I don't know what version you need for your application but a quick
check on duckduckgo.com shows:

Package: libavcodec-extra-53 (4:0.8.17ubuntu0.12.04.1 and others)

Package: libavcodec-ffmpeg-extra56 (7:2.8.10-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 and
others) [security] [universe] 

You are using a five year old version of Ubuntu, so your choices are:
 change the location of your repository folders -- risky and may lead to
 dependency hell.
upgrade to a more recent version of Ubuntu (Mythubuntu).
