[mdlug] Raspberry Pi File Server

In our meeting on Saturday Dr. Prez. Bob and I talked about getting the group to do more hands on events.  I told Bob that we could do something with the Raspberry PI.  I have several. Bob suggested I could do something on a Raspberry Pi file server.

So, I went out to MicroCenter and bought some disks and external disk enclosures.  In about an hour of fussing around I got it set up using Samba.

But when I connect I get a pop-up asking for credentials.  Now I see that this has a lot of history.  I'll need to understand Microsoft network credential technologies. Every time I enter a user ID and password to connect to the Samba share from a system (tried Ubuntu too) it fails.
