I would like to say I agree with Gregory Czerniak in all the points he
makes and thank him for his feedback.

1) Static sites with the proper talent are not unrealistic and can be
profitable. They are the preferred method if you have the background
but I do not. I do know simple HTML and use the SeaMonkey editor to
generate web pages. However, doing things like slide bars, drop down
menus, and such I don't know a quick way to do that without tools like
Joomla or my old Yahoo (now Aabaco) SiteBuilder tool. Setting up a
website server with Apache behind my firewalls would take me many months
to learn how to do and implement. I can have a Joomla site up with a
paid host much more quickly. Joomla has some pretty amazing extensions
and page building tools. I'm using the Joomla Helix3 Framework which
has a lot of favorable things written about it. (See:
https://www.joomshaper.com/helix) How secure they are I cannot attest
to except for what I have read. Certainly a lot better than WordPress.
I'm sure a static site would have MUCH better security as Gregory points
out.

2) Thanks for the tip on running joomscan and/or CMSmap. Joomla is new
to me and I'm learning as I go.

3) *I do NOT advocate the use of Windows 7 and especially NOT spying
10.* However, most of my target audience for my business uses it.
Therefore, I had to dedicate a chapter of my book to Windows, how to
secure it by turning off services and much more. I have a MUCH longer
chapter in my book on how to install and configure Fedora, openSUSE,
Linux Mint and Ubuntu. I am working on ways to stop Windows 10 from
"phoning home" and a little bit of that research is up on my blog now.

4) I handled all encryption for a 4 billion dollar corporation for
about 6 years. From everything I have read German GnuPG/GPG4Win are the
only encryption options that do not have KNOWN backdoors. I have not
audited the GnuPG code and have not read about an independent audit.
However, there are many articles about how Microsoft has put backdoors
into BitLocker for the government and I'm sure now the Russians and the
Chinese have those backdoors as well.

I am not a trained website developer and know little about that art
form. I was a C and C++ programmer for years, then a UNIX, Peoplesoft
and Oracle administrator for the second half of my career. I am
certified in Linux with CompTIA and it is my preferred OS of choice for
my SSH and home OwnCloud server. We can only learn and know about our
neck to the woods in the IT world and I expand mine as fast as I can.

I was forced to put up my own website when my paid website developer
registered my domain in his name and absconded with my money and left me
holding the bag using Yahoo's obsolete SiteBuilder tool. He legally
owned my domain and website after that. It was difficult and expensive
but I got them back.

My first foray into the small business world did not go well but I
learned a LOT trying to do it! Henry Ford failed three times before he
found the right business model. I'm only on round one.
