True, but remember that those operating systems were not
designed for usage on the Internet and are missing all the
security protections that modern OSes use.  There is a price
in computing power for the better security as well as support
for modern hardware.

I look at Linux as being a smorgasbord and avoid the bloatware,
so I have no complaints about the computing power.  I'll take
CentOS 6 over DOS 6 any day!
