[mdlug] Latest Mint 15 is very slow on Virtual Machine, so is Ubuntu

Personally I boot Mint Cinnamon on a real machine as a loopback system
using a Super Grub 2 installation that I've made to run off the hard
drive (along with a bunch of other live CD images with loopback.cfg
files).
