The qustion begs to be asked: why did MS spend 8.5 BILLION dollars for Sype?

eBay bought Skype for $2.5 biilion, admitted they paid too much for
it, and sold it at a loss.  What IS Skype, bsides a brand and a
customer list, that would make it worth over 4x what eBay sold it off
for just a short while ago?  Something STILL doesn't smell right.
