Let's see.  Boxed version SUSE linix 8.2, boxed version 9.0.  When
openSUSE after than for the difficulty in getting the boxed versions.
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 on the Lenovo T-61 when bought new.  A
year of Novel support (W00T)  Never used it.  Six months in I dropped in
a bigger hard drive and installed openSUSE 11.

For the average user the value simply does not exist to buy support.  I
can get better answers faster by calling my friends.  If I was running a
business I might think differently.

The support history of those that replied here seems to bear that out as
well.
