	Michael,

I thought we were civil towards one another around here.

It's something they actually have released, if you bothered to
follow the link.

Some members of this list (and many in the greater Linux community)
have stated that Windows Vista has been a wedge of opportunity for the
growth of desktop Linux. I happen to agree with that and I would greatly
enjoy seeing a larger marketshare, specifically because it could create a
tipping point for commercial vendors, which could make it possible for me to
save considerable software costs for the IT Infrastructure that I am in
charge of.

In this economy, the need to cut as many costs as possible is a very
important element to keep ones eyes upon. Anything that threatens current or
future cost savings is thus rather important to be aware of. Especially when
one has a position, such as the one I have, covering both overall Purchasing
as well as IT Infrastructure.

I regularly advocate the use of Linux and had been seeing
considerably greater interest in people wanting to look at Linux, enough
that they requested copies of Ubuntu and OpenSuSe10.3 from me, due in no
small part to their unhappy experiences with Windows Vista. As an advocate,
it is also important to keep an eye on upcoming products that could threaten
that advocacy.

If you don't care about advocating Linux and also have no care for
saving your employer any costs down the road, that's perfectly fine. I would
appreciate it then, if you would simply ignore emails discussing the
advocacy of Linux and issues that may interfere with the advocacy of Linux.
To make that easier, I will attempt to remember to put "ADVOCACY -" and then
the subject on future emails.

	-Rob
