[mdlug] SDL extensions - how common?

as to your audio question, I haven't worked with SDL yet, but there are a
lot of folks on the forums, that have at:

www.rakkarsoft.com/

It is a site based around a peer-to-peer networking library, but there are
quite a few there that have worked with the Audio.  I belive they recommend
FMOD over OpenAL, although FMOD costs some $, but not much.
