There are lots of Funambol users who use various Nokia phones, so I'd
assume SyncML support in them is pretty pervasive.

Sort of; it depends on the version(s) of the Palm OS databases and the
version of pilot-link. Palm (or whoever owns the software now) made
some changes to the database format and some of the database names a
couple of years ago. I'm a Treo 650 owner and I've seen related
compatibility problems. Pilot Link (0.12?) was modified to work with
the new formats but that caused a small change in the API so some
applications puke.
