[mdlug] Web filtering software

Our kids are getting good at operating a computer; our 2.75-year-old can log into
a guest account and fire up the Scummvm games he likes to play. My wife wants me to
set up some web filtering proactively, before there's a problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I've heard relatively good things about "Dan's
Guardian", and I'd prefer open-source solutions where possible. I've got a PIII-450MHz
w/512MB RAM to devote to this, which should be adequate for a couple of home computers.
I may also put a mail proxy on there running Spamassassin to try to limit the amount of
spam my wife receives through our ISP.
Sincerely,
Ray Ingles (313) 227-2317
