A few years ago I found some inexpensive ones made by ActionTec that
worked well under Linux.  I recall I paid about $10 for either the
USB or PCI version.

If ActionTec isn't available any more, I'd suggest lookomg up the cheap
brands and do a Google search to find if anyone has made that particular
model work in Linux.
