If you don't do a lot of traveling, I suggest looking at
the offerings at http://www.boostmobile.com/
Although they don't have great national coverage, I've noticed
that at Camp Grayling, Boost is the only carrier with coverage
that matches Verizon out the remote training areas -- everyone
else fails to stay on-network. Plus Boost has great rates,
which get even better every 6 months. I believe the monthly
cost for Android phones, unlimited EVERYTHIING is $55/month
for the first 6 months, and $50/month for the next 6 months,
then $45/month from thereafter, as long as you're never late
on a payment (otherwise the time-keeping resets).
Will the cost of your phone be amortized? No --
You'll have to but it up front.
On the other hand, are you locked into a multi-year contract
with $hundreds in early-out fees? No, again. And even
counting the cost of buying the phone, the prices with Boost
are still excellent.
