[mdlug] Anyone use HopToDesk?

Using HopToDesk, I attempted to control two different Android tablets, with
both another Android tablet and a Linux Mint box. In all cases, I could get
the screen capture on the controlling device, but no mouse control.

I attempted the same with RustDesk and had none of those problems.

I allowed Accessibility control for remote mouse/touch use, which is
necessary for both apps to use a remote mouse.

I was also able to control a Linux Mint computer with a Windows computer. I
was happy that RustDesk passed on the Ctrl-Alt-ArrowKeys to change the
controlled Linux Mint computer between workspaces.

I do have another Linux Mint computer running on some much older hardware
(but up-to-date OS) that didn't install either RustDesk or HopToDesk. I run
an X11 VNC server on it, and control it from my main Linux Mint computer
with Remmina Remote Desktop Client.

But Remmina has to be on the same network subnet, whereas RustDesk and
HopToDesk can be run on the other side of a router (i.e. the Internet). As
Carl has mentioned, I could do that with VPN. I already tried to setup a
WireGuard tunnel with a DD-WRT router to no avail, and WireGuard is a VPN
protocol.
