[mdlug] LibreOffice Calc - auto-adjust column width

Is there a way to make Calc auto-adjust column width (right-clicking 
right border of column header) so it doesn't split a word ... without 
changing any character attributes? Even the word 'optimal' is an 
oxymoron here. It appears to bases the width on absolute numbers, not 
relative to contents.
I get such ridiculous results as:
     Attribute
     s

....for the word 'Attributes' in a cell in that column.

Excel adjusts (or used to adjust) column width so it doesn't split any 
words in the cells.
