[mdlug] Discuss DNS route

For a quick fix, just add the IP address and hostname(s)
to the server's /etc/hosts file.

I'd definitely ask the network team about this.  Something
seems odd when a server can't resolve a hostname using
DNS.  Maybe they do it that way for a reason.
