Just for grins, bring up your browser in safe mode
where all plugins and addons are disabled.  It might
work.

Also I'm not sure about Chrome, but Firefox has a
little shield icon before the padlock in the URL.
Click on that to see what permissions are allowed
and/or disallowed.
