Oh, version 1.0 has been released.  Instructions for install says it uses Ubuntu 14.04.

I had a webcam set up using software called: Big Blue Button.  But the software was not updated when Ubuntu moved up to a newer version.

It worked great until then.  Maybe you can find the software load the older version of the operating system.

Has anyone setup a web cam home security system using a Linux PC as the 
monitoring and video recording end point?
Asking to avoid using a Windows 10 PC.
