I've only recently become aware of Reddit. It sounds like an up-and-coming thing.

Does anyone else have any thoughts on Reddit? Should we ask Brandon to be our Reddit moderator?

Brandon, we will also be having our elections April 11th. We have received no nominations. If you are interested in becoming more involve we would be happy to get you going.

I think that Reddit is a good space to grow and maintain a userbase. It's
free and somewhat customizable and it has an IT savvy crowd already,
including a Sysadmin group www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin
I could assist as a moderator there if that's the path we all decide to go
down.

Facebook is good for advertising events and maintaining a static space. I
don't participate on that site and there is a wall where only members can
see certain details but for the general population that's not an issue.
With any social media it's a matter of drive more than anything.
