My Dell Optiplex GX260's CMOS battery went dead on me.
Thus, whenever I booted up I had to get into the CMOS setup screen to
enter date & time.
Getting a new CMOS battery got me past this issue.
I was also happy to discover that the GX260's CMOS battery was one of
those quarter size watch batteries; it was easy to pop it and replace
it. I wish all computers used such a battery.

P.S. The GX260 was a dual boot Windows XP and Linux PC. During a Linux
upgrade I reformatted the hard drive for Linux only. -- Linux Mint 17
using the XFCE desktop. The GX260 is very old, with minimal resources,
but makes an excellent backup PC!
