I have gotten such offers several time over the years The Olde Phoenix 
Inn has been up.  I pay for an ad free website, not so I can put ads on it.

I prefer the clean no ad look.  At least one place on the web you are 
not being buried in flash, pop ups, and crud.

I see the MDLUG website in the same light.  No ads makes a statement.
