The neighborhood is rundown and parking is a challenge (try the side street).The price is right: free. Tables, chairs and electrical outlets and a projector if we need it. Topic: We will discuss what we will do for the ConClav Science Fiction convention. I hope people will bring their equipment September 12th to try out ideas for the set up at the convention. Can we bring some computers, Raspberry Pis, electrical cords, power-strips, cables . . .?I'd like to see our meetings develop into more of a working session to play with new technologies.Let's invite the Raspberry Pi enthusiasts to our September meeting and try to get them to come to the October event.  October meeting at ConClavhttp://http://conclavesf.net/ We are planning to run a room at ConClave as part of the MDlug meeting OCTOBER 10TH. I hope t have Raspberry PI STUFF GOING ON ---- IDEAS?We'd like to have a few computers that can be set up for people to come in and play a computer game called Kerbal.The game teaches physics and rocket ship design.   Here is notes form an email with some specific details that we want to address. We have someone who will provide 4  game licenses. I also found that there is a free demo that can be downloaded.   My first spacecraft crashed into the sea.  We need to find a way to get at least 4 computers. I may have 3 desktops and a laptop or two.We don't have a specific arrangement on how the meeting room is arranged.  We should talk to the club members to see what they what to do too.Other topics for ConClavI'd be willing to do a rough birds of a feather on each of these topics that you found an interest in.  I can do a video editing session - Openshot open source software.  Intro to Linux would be easy for us to do.  We had 30 people at a Raspberry Pi meeting a few months ago.  Maybe we need to set up a separate room?  Staying in the same room would give us a way to allow free attendance by members.  But maybe we want everyone to pay a fee to support the big picture idea.  Everyone is welcome.  We encourage all to attend.  I can watch the room for several hours each day.  Just may need a way to lock the room.
