Linus appears to be increasingly prone to rants - and a rant is a rant.
Rants shouldn't be taken seriously to mean much of anything.  It has
greatly diminished how much attention I [and I am certain many others]
pay to what he has to say.

Rather sad more than anything else.   LKML always stands in contrast to
the constructive, helpful, and professional attitude one finds on the
samba@ lists [as only one example].
