[mdlug] Ads in Ubuntu - say its not so

I ran the Mint distos for some time too. I would stick with the XFCE
version over Cinnamon or Mate but it's a good distro for general purpose
use. Synaptic makes it easy to do package management and compiz is there to
make it all look nice.
