[mdlug] Looking for Boost expert

I am planning to look for a better phone within the next month to
three months to correct a deficiency with mine. To this end I would
like someone on either of these lists to point me to someone who (1)
works for Boost Mobile or otherwise has inside knowledge of their
phones, and (2) would be sympathetic and willing to help.

My current phone is a Sanyo SCP3810, and I've been using it for basic
internet communications (ie, email and light web searching) for the
past year. I run a version of Opera, and can download files into the
phone and can also edit files in the phone and upload them to
websites.

There is just one thing lacking: I have been unable to move files back
and forth between the phone and a computer without going through the
internet. (The sole exception is that I can move pictures taken with
the phone's camera into a program called Bitpim.)

What I need is advice in selecting a phone that will handle file
transfers and also let me keep the capabilities that I do have, while
keeping the cost as low as possible, or else an App that will do this
job on my phone. (I've tried a few Apps that were supposed to transfer
files via Bluetooth/OBEX; all have failed with errors of some kind
when I actually tried to make a connection.)

Note that I am not trying to use the phone as a modem for a computer,
but rather would like it to function as a USB mass storage device.

Any Boost experts out there?

----

- Drew.
