Oooo.  AOL style.  A pile of disks in every box box store. 
Advertising.  Linux being free can't compete for ad space.  Microsoft
has a huge budget for getting the product in front of people's eyes and
into their minds.  Microsoft doesn't even need to advertise, but they
do.  Linux suffers for never being on TV.  That wouldn't make it a
better OS.  But visibility counts.  Those Mac PC Linux ads that Novel
did on You Tube would have go over huge on TV.  As it is the only people
that watch them are the converted.
