Not really hate. Frustration.

I have had systems admins force the migration Windows for services that are working just fine, Talking about "Support."

In the case of Windows phones, my Samsung Black Jack II just stopped working (Windows mobile), Nothing was wrong with the hardware.  I replaced it with an HTC Android  phone.
I love it. Android has made a dent in the market share. I wonder why?

I put my money where my mouth is, not only do I down load Linux I buy it.

Yes in the 90's Google chose Linux because it could not afford the licensing model Of Microsoft with 8,000 servers and a few licenses bought and modified Linux for performance. Something you could NEVER do with MS Windows. The flexibility of Linux has made its way into a lot of places in our lives in a lot of ways making the produce competitive.

In this case I will VOTE for Google/Linux with my wallet.

So are an inumerable number of things, including [almost certainly] your
new flat-screen TV.

Bogus Bogus Bogus.  Still with the Microsoft hate?  That is so 1990s.

Microsoft has contributed substantially to Open Source.  They have
committed code to the kernel.  They actively assist Samba & OpenMAPI.
They invite Mono to the .NET conferences.   I see no evidence at all of
attempts to 'slow the progression' of Open Source beyond simply
competing in the marketplaces.

Microsoft is a proprietary software company.  So is Google.
