Apparently Ubuntu will be including this video editor with their default
install. I decided to give it a whirl and was reasonably impressed. It
allows you to mix video in, and export it out, in whatever formats
Linux's encoders can handle (which is nearly all of 'em). For clipping
and rearranging scenes, and dubbing over, it was very quick, simple, and
convenient.

As a quick test, I took this scene:

...and shuffled it, and spliced in some dialogue from a similar scene in
another movie:

The result is not art, but it was very easy to produce. I plan on
experimenting with HD video soon, I'll let y'all know how it goes...
