Good advice.

Even in Linux, there are some old X11 apps that will segfault with newer
versions of the Xorg server (e.g. Corel WordPerfect 8.1 for Linux).
I keep a Fedora Core 4 box around just to run that and a few other
old apps (including some libc5-based ones).
