[mdlug] Open Office failures

I'm looking for any way to clear crashed Open Office without rebooting
the computer or restarting Xsever.  When the dang thing locks up it
locks, and I can't identify its processes in top to kill it. 

Any ideas? 

Open suse 11 with KDE.  Not a cli guru.
