[mdlug] Router is giving up on routing let alone working

I am also seeing similar failures with my nearly 4 year-old LinkSys (model WRT54?) router. My laptops which connect through wifi lose connection to internet once in while and the only solution is to power cycle the router. How do these devices 'go bad'?
