I'm scanning everything using an Agfa SnapScan 1212U (USB) and a HP ScanJet
300C (SCSI) with Xsane.  For documents and receipts I use 300dpi grayscale
JPEG and for photos I use 600dpi JPEG.  Most of the photos I have aren't
good enough quality to warrant a higher dpi.
