I really didn't get the impression that the SEMCO people had any 
preference as to what distro they wanted to install. As it turned out we 
seem to do alot of Suse and Ubuntu, with a Muppy install on an old 
Thinkpad with only 256mb ram.

There was also some comments that DSL is not meant to be installed.

the write up on distrowatch seems to differ.

"If you like Damn Small Linux you can install it on your hard drive. 
Because all the applications are small and light it makes a very good 
choice for older hardware."

And I would think that one could install other apps from the Debian sources.

Is this a good choice as a newbie distro? well that's another question.
