	I wish that was true. So far, it has proven to be untrue.

	People were saying that Microsoft was shooting itself in the foot
with the arbitrary differences between the 6 versions of Windows Vista and
they were going to pay. Only... that hasn't happened.

	The same thing is going to happen with Windows 7 that happened with
Vista, that happened with XP. The majority of people will shamble on into
their local computer retail outlet and shamble out laden down with a Windows
7 running Desktop or Laptop computer, with a few of those "weirdos" walking
out with them shiny elitist Mac machines and finally some guys buying a
handful of parts for their Linux boxes.

	Linux isn't going to have the success that MacOSX has until someone
figures out how to turn it into a commercial success by riding heavily on a
niche (Like Apple did with Artists, Film and other creative industries) that
has a need for large quantities of quality hardware that is pre-configured
and then somehow gets commercial developers to start rolling out multiple
genres of applications that are worth paying for.
