If so Who?

It is possable that Oracle is trying to be an IBM I think one stratigy is to recaptiure their market share.

It doesn't matter, really.

You could create a site, called  www.yoursql.com and port 
all of the MySQL source code over there, and create a
new, center for development completely outside the control
of Oracle.
