Yep. Considering how much irresponsibility there is in the
software industry, I'm amazed at how NO lawyer had organized a
class action suit. Considering that Dow Chemical (and the
local economy up in Midland) was all but destroyed by John
Edwards and his junk-science lawsuits over silicone breast
implants, you would think that SOME lawyer would take up a
case against those putting out shoddy products.
[As for the author's comparisons to the auto industry -- at
least the auto manufacturers sometimes issue voluntary recalls
to correct problems, and often at great expense, whereas
putting out patches in a timely manner is relatively cheap.]
