 The only other thing I can think of is the ffmpeg libraries on your Linux
machine being different from mine. I do my conversion on Ubuntu 8.04; from
what I recall offhand, you're using an older Fedora, is that right?

 I don't know what exactly would be different, but possibly there's an issue
with how it encodes or something. Perhaps you could send me one of the
troublesome files, or put it up for download somewhere I could get to? I
could see if I could get it to play on my PS3.

 (As small a file as possible, of course. :-> )
