With emacs (or via your favorite gui admin tool),
   1. install mod_ssl (usu. in apache2-prefork package)
   2. "Include /etc/apache2/ssl-global.conf" in /etc/apache2/httpd.conf

See /etc/apache2/ssl-global.conf for details.
