That's not necessarily the best way to promote Linux but I guess it
depends on what the purpose of MDLUG is.  If it's to help new Linux
users then ignore M$ as it's just preaching to the choir.  If it's to
help others understand computer technology and try out new things
(like Linux) then maybe not mention the OS at all.  The group has a
rather diverse skill set and helping to install Firefox and
Openoffice.org on XP and giving them a LiveCD is less scary to n00bs.
Your statement could be interpreted as offering XP installation help.

Are we targeting any specific age group?  Offering to mentor beginner
PC techs would be another option.  Silicon Alley Recyclers is doing
that:
