I'm still wondering if there's a way to query VMWare as to when the
serial port is open or closed. The fact that VMware is involved may
cause issues with making stty calls at it. YOu might want to see if
there's anything in the VMWare API to see if you can query the status of
the virtual serial port that way.
I take it that the Netzero Linux client won't do you any good? I
thought they had one?
