Only one USB port on this laptop,  but two PCMCIA slots.

I tried that here.  I have a small USB 1.1 hub, but the adapter stopped 
working (dropping about 80% of TCP/IP packets) when I plugged it and a flash 
drive into the hub at the same time.  I don't know whether it was a power 
issue or a bandwidth issue.
