I use Gmail and don't have much use for offline clients. Web email is
much more convenient as I can access it from anywhere with any PC. I
don't live through email so I'm not inconvenienced much when I don't
have Internet access but with free WiFi hotspots (and insecure home
networks) it's rare that I can't get it. I suspect a lot of clients
will be abandoned in the future:
