Yep it was tucked under the case covered by a bit of white plastic,
yellow shrink wrap around a button lithium cell with the contacts press
fit into it.

It wasn't that pricey.  Rather than chase around for a button to replace
it I ordered the sucker.  I shall have two members of the Thinkpad family.
