It has been proven that video card manufacturers will sometimes tweak
their drivers to increase apparent performance with specific benchmark
applications.  Maybe this is a similar situation where M$ attempts to
identify Linux vs. Windows TCO comparisons and tries to adjust the
outcome. :D
