How old is your house?  Houses built in the 50s and 60s used something
called "diamond lath" to hold the plaster, in which case your house DOES
have a Faraday cage of steel mesh in the walls.  It would be interrupted
by windows or doors, but even the interior walls will have it. but the
basement will not.

If you really want that signal you will need an antenna on the house and
a repeater inside.
