[mdlug] need fstab and/or openGL help

Agreed! My only half baked excuse is, why didn't "mount point ... does
not exist" errors show up in the log file? I wonder if such an error was
showing up in the verbose chatter on your boot console. Does your distro
give you a nice "don't think, be happy" splash screen during boot? I
always disable it (splash=0 on the kernel line) on my systems. I like to
watch the messages go by. Even if they run too fast to really be read I
still sometimes get a glimpse of something interesting.
