 One interesting thing is that their signing regime is hurting the
development of 64-bit Vista. Now that 64-bit computing is becoming more
widespread, it'll be interesting to see how much this becomes a self-
inflicted wound for MS.

 Linux has been 64-bit ready for more than a decade now, at *least*
since it was ported to the Alpha ~1995. Almost all Linux software works
on a 64-bit system. If Eric Raymond is right that the 32-to-64-bit
transition will happen rapidly, and decisively, it could drive a very
swift adoption of Linux:
