If all else fails, reset the BIOS to the defaults (or reflash) and see
if it still does not work. If I recall correctly (it's been a few years
since the C600) there are 2 connectors on the combo miniPCI card; modem
and LAN. Make sure they are both securely connected and the miniPCI
slot/card/modem/LAN is enabled in the BIOS. I don't have a C600 that I
can look at, so I can't tell you exactly which settings to look for.
Another quick test would be to throw a BartPE, Ubuntu, or some other
OS-on-a-disc into the drive and see if it enables the card. That will at
least tell us whether we should be diagnosing the OS or the BIOS.

The one thing you may want to check is the cables. I recently worked on
a laptop and discovered that the keyboard no longer worked after
reassembly. I had handled it gently, so I couldn't believe I had broken
it. The only thing I could think to do was reseat the cable. Even
though the cable looked right, I did reseat it and the keyboard has
worked perfectly ever since.
