Good points there.  All of these are important things to consider, but
there is one more thing to consider...picture quality.  There are now
lots of low priced LCD and plasma TVs that look great on paper, but
have absolutely horrible pictures.  The screens are not all created
equal...nowhere near equal.  People want less expensive TV's with all
the bells and whistles, and companies are going to cut as may corners
as possible to manufacture them.  The worst I ever saw was a $700 37"
LCD that was so slow that I could notice the frames changing.  I
wouldn't have believed it if I had not seen it myself.

Basically, when buying an LCD TV, make sure that you worry about the
quality of the actual LCD part of it before anything else.  Go look at
the thing and see how good its picture is.
