 Exactly, you've got to be specific about what you mean by 'speed'. I
can report that my Linux box "feels" much faster than the Vista box we
have.

 Here's a link comparing Vista and XP in the "User Efficiency" area;
not directly relevant to "Linux vs Windows" but illustrates that there
